HOSPITALITY is in the family at Sealanes.

The veteran Fremantle fish supplier won three industry awards at the 2013 Australian Hotel Association WA hospitality supplier awards announced this month.

Two awards were for best regional food supplier and service provider and WA’s best restaurant supplier.

WA’s hospitality industry achievement award was given to late Sealanes founder Sam Paino, believed to be the first posthumous recipient of the lifetime achievement award.

“My father Sam spent his life dedicated to his work,” his daughter Leeanda Paino said at the acceptance speech. “He consistently worked 18 hours a day for almost 60 years.

“He was a pioneer in the food service industry.”

The awards are held annually to recognise the excellent product and service providers which support WA’s hospitality industry.
