Rebecca Aubrey, the daughter of mayor Russell, is eyeing off a possible run for Melville city council.
The lawyer, formerly bass guitarist with indie band My Mad Flow and now working with CBH Engineering, was hard to pin down this week but conceded when we finally got hold of her she would “possibly” contest the October election.
We hear she’s likely to pop up in city ward and run against incumbent Effie Nicholson, who’s frequently at odds with Mayor Aubrey on various matters before the chamber.
Ms Aubrey last hit the news when she told the Herald her dad had left a courthouse “five minutes ago” just as we spied him beetling out the front doors.
