LOCAL pollies Simone McGurk, Lynn MacLaren and Logan Howlett will join Save Beeliar Wetlands on a walk today, Saturday August 23, to protest the Roe 8 highway extension.

It’ll be preaching to the converted given they’re all on the record opposing the project, but there’ll be some real preaching soon with SBW in the throes of organising an inter-denominational blessing of the lakes—God v bulldozers.

The walk starts at 2pm at the corner of Forrest and Stock roads and will finish near the Cockburn Wetlands Centre where there’ll be an afternoon tea.
