FREMANTLE council had a ripper Easter treasure hunt, raking in $13,600 in parking fines over the four-day long weekend.
While visitors enjoyed the street arts festival, rangers hopped their way past parking bays, slipping 266 fines under windscreen wipers. Last year 261 notices were handed out.
Council field services manager Matthew Piggott says the most common fines were for exceeding time limits and failing to display tickets.
Hotspots were Suffolk, Pakenham, Henry, Cantonment and Arundel Streets.
