FREO shoppers thought something was amiss when a team of police, ambos, firies and emergency services teams took to the streets this week.

Possibly still shaken by the hostage situation in Mosman Park the previous night, a Herald reader called us to say something big and bad must be happening near the corner of Henderson and Queen streets. Senior sergeant Doug Nelson, from the Tactical Response Group, wouldn’t say what the training was about.
