FRUIT FLIES are hatching as the temperature rises.
To combat the thieving little buggers you might want to pop along to a Sustainability open day at the home of fruit tree guru Adam Peck and his partner Amy Warne.
This Sunday September 13 from 10am to 4pm the pair will be delighted to show you their chemical-free solution to saving your crop.
“It works so well, we get kilos and kilos of fruit off them, even though they are just small trees,” Ms Warne says.
The pair has transformed their backyard at 31 Burridge Way, Hamilton Hill, into a little Eden, complete with two croaking squatters. They can even bathe outdoors in luxury thanks to a 14,000-litre rainwater harvesting system.
