Groove into the new year with Funk Club’s NYE Countdown at Salt on the Beach on Thursday 31 December. Featuring headliners Lyrics Born with his band, alongside Perth rapping royalty, Drapht. Supporting is F’Del, bringing the funkiest hip hop beats with his six-piece band with more local supports to be announced. Readers have the chance to win one of three double passes to catch these electric performers live in full effect.

California’s Lyrics Born returns for an encore show, backing up a sand-blasting gig back in 2011. The iconic MC will be ‘Callin’ Out’ the ultimate NYE party set with his trademark hip hop tinged with old school soul, in an explosive live show with his six-piece band. Ring in the new year with hits ‘I Changed My Mind’, ‘I Love It, I Like It’, and ‘Callin’ Out’ along with some new tunes from album Real People.

In its seventh year and now an NYE institution, Countdown at Salt on the Beach will celebrate the farewell of 2015 by taking over three zones across the North Freo shore: the big top main stage; an air-cond lounge and balcony champagne bar; and the popular beach bar.  As well as the groovy tunes and awesome live sets, the event will serve up NYE cocktails and food trucks/popups.
