Valley favourite cafelumos has been delighting locals since 2010, with its delicious food, great coffee and gourmet catering. An ever evolving menu with exciting weekly specials, a friendly and experienced team at the helm and the charming feel of the place makes it a rather special place to be.

From the traditional to the modern, you’re sure to find something to please at cafelumos. Start the day by fuelling up with the lumos universe – free range eggs poached or scrambled, bacon, chipolatas, hash browns, grilled tomato, home made baked beans, field mushroom, english spinach & toast. Lighter choices include bircher muesli or fruit toast. If you’re up for something different, the nasi goreng is delicious and the french toast is amazing.


Standout lunch items include the prawn and scallop salad, the famous black angus burger, the chicken & avocado caesar salad, calamari and chips and the mushroom and haloumi stack. All pastries, cakes and slices are fresh made in house and those with special dietary needs are well covered.

“We cater for those with food intolerances and have an extensive raw, vegan and gluten free range. We design all of our dishes to be made vegetarian and we’re glad to remove the eggs, or pop your sauce to the side,” explains owner Leon Strachan.

In addition to the fab coffee you’ll find a big selection of quality beverages such as artisan teas, Mork hot chocolate and Voyager Estate sparkling grape juice. And as always, cafelumos moves with the times, offering super healthy dairy free smoothies, fresh juices and even kombucha!
