What is trauma? Trauma happens to all of us, our friends, our families, and in the instances of war, whole societies can be impacted. No one is exempt from experiencing some trauma. It is probably the most misunderstood and untreated cause of human suffering.
Some examples are sexual abuse, growing up in a family where there was alcoholism, violence, verbal and emotional abuse, external events and medical procedures. Most people coping with trauma learn to disassociate, looking composed most of the time, but can collapse into uncontrollable states of emotion.
Casey Terry (BPsych) at Totally Alive specialises in trauma work and has integrated many modalities within her 20 years’ experience. Casey is offering a healing trauma workshop on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th August 2016 at 106 Marine Terrace Fremantle. The workshop is designed to access past traumas and work with the disconnected parts of yourself that have shut down. Special introductory offer: Book for two people and pay for the price of one $365 (to participate as a representative)
