Wassup Dog!
Some of you may remember Jules the “North Freo Hot Dog man” who had a New York hot dog cart outside Mojo’s every weekend.
Well Jules is back in Freo – at Wassup Dog in Market Street, where you can taste the most delicious organic beef hot dogs filled with fresh local ingredients in a cool bistro-style space. The store, which opened this week, will also offer cakes, vegan dogs, home-style meatballs, coffee, cold pressed juices, breakfasts, iced chai and more!
Jules was always telling customers that his business was going to “bigger than McDonalds” and as the Freo store is Jules’ second Wassup venture, you could say he’s well on his way! A community of customers has grown from the original East Perth store, and Jules is now bringing the good vibes to Fremantle with fab food and fresh tunes, 7 days a week from 7am til 9pm.

Great Learning Starts With Quality Teaching
The emphasis on schools achieving and maintaining excellent results has never been more important as federal, state and territory leaders begin negotiations for a new schools funding arrangement commencing 2018.
Well-funded schools with great teachers will always do well. However, NAPLAN’s 2015 Your School results indicate that government and low-fee independent schools are also achieving success by working to overcome limited resources and, in some cases, disadvantage, by implementing innovative strategies to provide the best foundations for children.
A shining example is local Fremantle Christian College which has invested much thought, energy and dollars into the school over the last several years, earning it a gong in the “Most Improved Primary School” category. The College came 2nd in WA and is ranked 19th Australia wide out of well over 4000 Primary Schools in Australia (Australian Bureau of Statistics).
Enthusiastic parents, students and teachers at the Kindy, Primary and Secondary level were delighted by the recognition.
Recently the College unveiled exciting building plans to expand the Secondary College which is growing rapidly.
