MY definition of the ideal Fremantle lifestyle is a large contemporary, spacious house, located outside the hustle and bustle of Fremantle CBD with a short walk to the Swan River.

Today was my lucky day — I found it on Feeney Street in North Fremantle.

Fitted with reverse cycle air-con throughout, this stunning three-storey home was architecturally designed to fit the block, which means every nook and cranny is used to its advantage.

Equipped with a security system for safety and privacy, the entrance to this house will leave you drooling from the get go.

A water feature along the entrance to the large glass front door sums this house up in a nutshell — a beautiful and clever use of space.

A double lock-up garage also has direct entry into the home.

The polished white concrete and aggregate flooring throughout the ground floor of this home gives a sense of space and leads into the open living area.

Whilst watching your favourite television program, it would be very easy to get distracted by the glistening solar heated lap pool which you can see through the floor to ceiling windows.

The modern entertainer’s kitchen is fitted with Miele appliances and stone bench tops.

Large, glass bifold doors open up to bring the outside in, or the inside out.

The alfresco area is fitted with a built-in barbecue and a wood-fired pizza oven for the ultimate in entertainment. Glass panels surround the stunning lap pool and a door ensures safety for kids.

An outdoor hot and cold shower makes washing off easy.

The elegant wooden staircase lined with glass panels almost makes exercise fun — almost.

The bedrooms are all fitted with timber floors which makes keeping them clean easy.

The generous main bedroom has a dream ensuite, fitted with a his and hers vanity and sink, a spa bath and a double shower hidden behind the vanity wall.

I guess every bathroom needs a toilet, and I almost missed this as it was so well concealed behind a glass door.

The large open plan stairwell separates the main from the other two large bedrooms with built-in robes and access to the front balcony.

The contemporary main bathroom is marble tiled to add to its elegance and with the toilet and shower closed off with glass doors, there’s a feeling of hotel living.

Another bit of ‘fun’ exercise up the second flight of stairs, leads to an open loft living area.

Carpeted floor with clever cubby storage throughout and access to the third floor balcony makes this the ideal hang out.

A few hundred meters from the house lies a large park area and a secluded beach with spectacular views of the Swan River and other parts of Fremantle.

It is in walking distance to all that North Fremantle has to offer.
