THIS Keeling Way, South Fremantle home is so new a workman was still bolting down the slatted timber screen on the west facing balcony when I arrived.

We chatted about his home country — Italy — as I took in the massive pines at South Beach, a green and living screen to the beach beyond.

A massive frosted front door guards the entry to this thoroughly modern three-bedroom/two-bathroom abode.


Step inside and your eye is drawn to a wall of glass and a splash of vibrant green in the courtyard garden running along the central open plan.

All that glass must make for plenty of light even on the gloomiest of days.

White caesarstone tops the expanse of benches in the sparkling new kitchen, with its de Longhi stove and lovely textured white-tile splash backs.


There’s a heap of soft close drawers and large pantry style cupboards, and an island/breakfast bar.

From all vantage areas of the open plan you look out onto garden and a very pleasant covered alfresco area.

Stacker doors peel back to waft in sea breezes, and I can see enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner outdoors almost year round.


Two of the bedrooms are on the lower level, while the main is upstairs, where a lovely sitting room tops the stairs and accesses the balcony through sliding doors.

The bedroom is generous, with a walk-in-robe and very stylish semi-open ensuite with separate toilet and double vanities.

This brand new home offers a great South Beach lifestyle, with a number of cafes in walking distance and a choice of shops mere minutes away by car.

Jump on your bike and head down the bike path and you’re in Fremantle in 10 minutes, or hail the free CAT bus, which takes about the same amount of time – but without raising a sweat.
