A HOMELESS musician wounded during his arrest in Fremantle is outraged a CCC investigation is being handled by police.
Colin Brown was arrested outside Timezone last year when police tried to shift him from his busking spot.
Police claim he resisted arrest by head-butting and kicking officers, but Mr Brown denies this and accused the police of misconduct.
His head is still scarred from being thrown into the police van, but after lodging a complaint with the CCC he was surprised to get a knock on the door from a Murdoch cop.
“The cops just go ‘nah there’s no evidence’,” Mr Brown said.
“It should be an independent investigation, but they’re afraid of treading on people’s toes.”
The CCC say it’s standard practice to refer complaints to the relevant agency or authority, and are still waiting for an outcome to the investigation.
It says it’s waiting for the police report into Mr Brown’s complaint.
