Footy fundraiser on Fathers Day

They’ve got the beat, but do they have the feet? Perth’s musos will take on the city’s media pack in a footy grudge match at Fremantle Oval on Father’s Day to help raise money for people facing disadvantage.

The Perth Reclink Community Cup will raise cash and awareness about Reclink Australia, which uses sport and arts to help people facing mental illness, disability, homelessness, substance abuse, addiction or plain old hardship, to keep connected.

Mayor Brad Pettitt (centre) is pulling on a jersey for The Newshounds, along with Chris Wheeldon (right) from RTRFM, while Tom Fisher (left) will be laying about with his muso mates as the Bandgropers. It all starts at noon and there’ll be food and drink stalls.
