Seniors and Carers Expo in Rockingham

The International Day of Older Persons is an annual event celebrated on 1 October 2017 each year. It’s an opportunity to highlight the important contributions that older people make to society and raise awareness of the issues and challenges of ageing. To celebrate this important day, the City of Rockingham is holding a Seniors and Carers Expo on Friday 6 October 2017. There is a significant proportion of seniors living in the community, and the City highly values the contribution they make.

In This will be the 8th Seniors and Carers Expo the City has hosted, which this year will be in partnership with the recently merged organisations of Care Options, Community First and Volunteer Task Force. The Expo will run from 10am-2pm at the Mike Barnett Sports Complex, Rockingham. Over 140 stalls will be available under one roof, providing information to visitors on the range of services, support, activities, programs and products available to seniors and carers to help them live safe, fulfilling and enjoyable lives.

The Expo has grown each year, to become one of the largest events of its kind in WA. This year Curtin FM will attend the event and broadcast live from the venue. The City would like to thank sponsors: Ace Cinemas, Act-Belong-Commit, A-Z Photography, Bunnings, Curtin FM, and Specsavers.
