Life’s a beach

THE sigh of the wind in the pine trees across from this North Coogee apartment enhances its beachside ambience.

Cooling breezes waft though the huge door/windows into the spacious open-plan in the summer months.

But if the Freo doctor doesn’t come calling, there’s always the air conditioning which can be reversed for cosy warmth in winter.

Washed oak floors add to the beach holiday feel of this simple but sophisticated two-bedroom abode.

Parkland views

The galley-style kitchen is surprisingly unobtrusive, melding into the background while still being practical and stylish.

There’s a sweep of black stone benchtops, a beautiful jade-coloured glass splash back and Bosch appliances.

Storage will never be a problem with a heap of white cupboards and an almost floor-to-ceiling pantry.

There are pleasant parkland views from the dining area, but on these balmy autumn days I’d be having breakfast and lunch on the terrace.

Set above the pavement, it’s protected by a solid wall that doesn’t block the view, and there’s a secure gate if you or guests want to head across to the park for a barbie.

Both bedrooms have their own bathroom and are located either side of the living areas.

All the windows have security screens and there’s secure parking for the owner.

Built in 2013, this award winning development is in the heart of the South Fremantle/North Coogee beach community.

A short walk away is South Beach, where you’ll find plenty of early- morning swimmers braving the cooler weather.

But if a cobweb-clearing dip isn’t for you, then head to the South Freo cafe strip for a coffee instead.
