MORE attuned to singing the blues, the West Coast Blues Club is feeling a bit down in the dumps.
Earlier this month the Fremantle-based club had to defer it’s AGM after being unable to fill key committee positions, and will hold a fundraiser next month to top up its depleted piggy bank.
Following the aborted AGM which was attended by just five members and the two-person committee of president Nick Leach and jack-of-all-positions Julie Brooker, the pair sent out a “call to arms” for musos and supporters to meet again on Saturday November 17 at 6pm at the Navy Club in High Street, Fremantle.
The AGM will double as a fundraiser, and the club’s hoping to get a couple of local bands to offer up their services for free. Entry will be $10.
