FARRIER Lane gets its name from the many stables and farriers that once called White Gum Valley home.

In the late 1800s camel trains bedded down on the ultra-wide verges before heading to the goldfields, and in the early 1900s stable hands raced their horses down the streets to Richmond Raceway in East Fremantle.
