• Eskimo Joe get some rest ahead of their 2022 tour.
FREMANTLE favourites Eskimo Joe have announced a new tour and released a very personal video for their new single 99 Ways.
The vid features actual texts and photos exchanged between lead singer Kav Temperley and his wife Beth, after Kav went into lockdown when he returned from America feeling unwell.
Thankfully he didn’t have covid-19, but Kav said it give him a small insight into the isolation people were feeling and the sadness of being seperated from a loved one.
“We had to make Internet and texting our only form of communication,” he says.
“I sat down at the piano and started mucking around and came up with the first few bars of 99 Ways.”
Buoyed by the success of their comeback single Say Something earlier this year, the band have announced a national tour in 2022 where they will play their classic albums A Song Is A City and Black Fingernails, Red Wine, along with new material.
The tour kicks off at Fremantle Arts centre on March 5 next year. Tix at frontiertouring.com/eskimojoe
