Taking a breather on Gill

A part from something cotton is wrapped around, what, you may ask, is a spool? I certainly did.

It was right before me, glittering bewitchingly beyond three soaring walls of glass and steel, off the massive living/dining/kitchen area.

It’s a pool and spa in one, making it a spool.

There’s an uninterrupted view into the house (and vice versa), and you can even swivel the massive wall-mounted TV and enjoy your favourite program while pulsating spa jets soothe tired muscles.

Apparently the vendors like to watch the footy from here, and with gas heating the water’s always the right temperature right through the wintry AFL season.

The sparkling blue water dominates from the moment you step into the huge entry vestibule, with its lovely tiled floor.

And it gets better as you step down into the soaring living space.

Dry off after a spa in front of the huge fire in the spacious lounge area.

Gas powered, the lava rocks give an ambient glow, and a great heat.

The kitchen is a mouthwatering spectacular, with acres of white caesar stone benches, two Miele stoves (one a whopping 900mm wide) and a scullery.

And as if that’s not enough the timber-decked, covered patio has a built-in-BBQ kitchen.

American oak floors flow into three of the four bedrooms, on the ground floor.

All are double, most with built-in-robes and there’s a study nook—or play area for the kids.

The cherry on the icing of this stunning home is the upstairs main bedroom.

This cavernous space is dominated by massive white, plantation shutters that close off the gargantuan ensuite, or not, depending on your fancy.

The bath is deep, and the shower recess houses two shower heads. And there’s a walk-in robe nearby.

Next door is the nursery, a cute space that could also be a study/office.

This stunning, uber-modern home was designed with a family in mind, as well as home entertaining.

Kids play cricket in the street, and the delightful Richmond primary school is around the corner.

And there’s a swag of shops, cafes and restaurants a short drive away.
