Located on Carrington Street in Palmyra, this unique family-owned and managed cafe recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Ten years with the same owners and chef…they must be doing something right!
Open 7 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner*, Cafe 58’s extensive a la carte menu has something for everyone. The Vegetarian Perfection with soft poached free range eggs, smashed avocado on rye and grilled haloumi ($20) is a breakfast favourite, but the Canadian Pancakes ($19) and Martyn’s famous Scrambled eggs with crispy bacon($16) are hard to beat also! The lunch menu gets tummies rumbling with the Big Big Lamb Burger with mint salsa & chunky wedges ($18) or Village Pie ($18) with caramelised onion, spinach and feta on a pumpkin and pine nut salad. Mid-week dinners are a huge hit and great value for money with two courses for only $27.50! The succulent pork ribs or crispy skinned salmon come highly recommended. It’s best to book for this one!
With an emphasis on quality, fresh ingredients, gluten free and vegetarian options and all meals cooked fresh-to-order, Cafe 58 is producing some seriously good food!
In addition to the a la carte menu, the cafe offers a delectable range of cakes, muffins and slices perfect to enjoy with 58’s locally roasted coffee. Check out the “58 Store” for take-home packs of coffee and certified organic products including chilli sauce and chocolate.
Full air-conditioning makes Cafe 58 a cool retreat during summer. The Balinese-inspired alfresco courtyard is a charming spot with shade sails covering the area. The courtyard is available to hire for functions and there’s live music throughout the summer months.
With dedicated parking at the rear and on street parking, access to Cafe 58 is easy. BYO is also available, (liquor store located opposite).
