CHALLENGER INSTITUTE’S maritime studies in Fremantle just leapt to the top of the field with Australia’s most advanced maritime simulators allowing students to navigate the world’s major ports in any weather.
The $1.7 million simulators feature the most advanced mathematic modelling and shipping databases in the world, and three large screens to mimic what it’s like on the bridge of a raft of different vessels.
“The scope and diversity of training opportunities for those using the simulator suite are exceptional, with the engine room and cargo holding simulators unique to Challenger among all training institutes in Australia,” Challenger boss Liz Harris said.
