BREAKING: Murdoch vice chancellor suspended

MURDOCH UNIVERSITY’S vice chancellor Richard Higgott has been suspended following an investigation into allegations of misconduct.
The results of the internal investigation have been referred to WA’s corruption and crime commisision following a meeting of the university’s senate.

Murdoch chancellor David Flanagan said the university would fully co-operate with the CCC.

“The senate has determined that it is in the best interests of the university that Professor Higgott be suspended pending further inquiries,” Mr Flanagan said.

Pro vice chancellor Andrew Taggard will step up into the role of vice chancellor in the interim.
