BUTCHERY is a small world it seems.

“I remember him, he was at Robb’s Jetty—yeah I know your dad.” In just a few moments Beaconsfield butcher Joe Princi’s placed real estate agent Todd Grierson’s father, who’s long retired from the industry.

The realo said his old man kept pestering him with stories about the good old days before supermarkets started crowding out the local butcher shops, so he decided to organise a shindig to bring all the old boners back together again.

The Fremantle Butchers Convention is being held at 3pm on Wednesday December 3 at the Swan Yacht Club in East Fremantle.

Mr Grierson, who like a lot of his mates also spent a stint at the Robb’s Jetty abattoir, says when he started there were three butchers along South Terrace alone.
