ANTI-ROE HIGHWAY protesters took their message to would-be road builders on Wednesday, targeting a meeting of potential tenderers at WA Main Roads.
The controversial six-lane tollway through the sensitive Beeliar wetlands is part of the $1.6 billion Perth Freight Link announced by the Abbott government last year.
Save Beeliar Wetlands campaigner Nandi Chinna says there’s still no sign of a business case and environmental approvals remain outstanding.
“The WA government is blindly pushing ahead with its out-dated and excessively expensive transport freight route which its own modelling shows will not solve congestion,” she said.
