FOR five years Lynne Jones has been heading to the Meeting Place in South Freo to quilt blankets for kids living in foster care.
The youngsters often have no time to pack their personal items when taken to their new homes, so Ms Jones has been donating the blankets so they have something of their own to cuddle. She now leads 20 other quilters in a group called I Spy Quilts every second Friday at 9am where they meet for a chat and a sew, and between them they’ve quilted more than 300 blankies for Foster Care WA.
