A HANDFUL of Cockburn residents has organised a patrol to try to track down kids throwing rocks at drivers.
They’ve also set up a Facebook page to warn drivers to avoid targeted areas.
Rock-Thrower Alerts-Cockburn started in May as Yangebup residents suffered a wave of rocks being thrown at cars, illegal fires, break-ins and the destruction of Christmas lights.
“We have six workers. Three out each night and it is a likely chance that we will find them throwing rocks. So we warn people on Facebook and tell them to avoid [the area]” one of the administrators told the Herald. “Sometimes we get text messages.”
