Freo’s much loved restaurant moving to new premises on the strip
Sandrino – one of Fremantle’s most loved restaurants is moving. After 13 years of bringing the buzz to Market Street, Sandrino has relocated across the road, taking up a prime position on Freo’s Cappuccino Strip (next to Timezone). With the same friendly owners and staff, the same fabulous food and great service that diners know and love, the new Sandrino promises to be a continuation of something special.
Open for just over a week, a complete refurbishment of the new premises has given the place a fresh and modern look, while retaining the character of a beautiful heritage landmark. The result is a unique and charming venue where patrons feel immediately welcome.
Diners will be spoilt for choice with a variety of different dining areas, to suit every mood and occasion. There’s the main section downstairs, for the open kitchen hum of the old Sandrino; the upstairs grand bar and mezzanine for a view on all the action; and three separate alfresco areas to enjoy all that Fremantle has to offer. There are even two kids activity rooms (one for ages 3-6) (one for older kids) kitted out with loads of awesome gear such as iPads, PlayStation, Fox TV, art tables, colouring in materials etc. The kids won’t be saying “I’m bored” at Sandrino.
Owners Jelena and Sam are thrilled about the move and can’t wait to bring the Sandrino brand to South Terrace. As Jelena explains:
“We are so excited to launch the new Sandrino. With so many dining options in such a beautiful new setting, we know we will delight our existing customers and make many more in the years to come. Our menu is influenced by the flavours of the Mediterranean region and we plan to stick to what we do best – fresh local seafood, home made pastas and real wood fired pizzas made the traditional way.
The old Sandrino on Market Street will remain open until the end of February 2016, so come on in and say farewell to the end of an era and celebrate the beginning of a new one.
