The bleat escape

SHEEP are making a bid for freedom in Melville.

There have been two sightings of runaway sheep on the suburb’s affluent streets in the past three months.

The most recent was spotted on River View Terrace in Mt Pleasant this week.

Melville council CEO Shayne Silcox says he doesn’t know where they are coming from.

“In the previous incident, there were actually two run-away sheep in different locations and social media was instrumental in helping us locate them and also let people know to watch out for them on the road,” he says.

“While we are not sure where the sheep are coming from, we are pleased to say the sheep have found a new home in the green pastures of Murdoch. We hope they don’t come baaack.”
