Spearwood woman faces scooter hit and run charges

A 35-YEAR-OLD Spearwood woman faces six charges over an alleged hit and run involving a scooter rider last week (Herald, March 19, 2016).

The woman is charged with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, attempting to pervert the course of justice, no authority to drive, and failing to stop, render assistance or report the accident. The maximum sentence for perverting the course of justice is seven years in the poky.

A man in his 60s received serious injuries as a result of the incident at the corner of Angus Avenue and Denham Street, Spearwood.

The woman will appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court April 15.
