A MILLION-DOLLAR upgrade has been opened at Atwell reserve.
The clubrooms and reserve are home to junior and senior footy and cricket clubs, who’ve got a combined membership of more than 1,200 players.
The upgrade, opened by mayor Logan Howlett on Wednesday, included extending the clubrooms to bump up the kitchen and function room, new ramp access to the car park, extra storerooms, new toilets, an umpire’s change room, and the realignment of two cricket practice nets.
The reserve is also used by Atwell College for footy carnivals.
Future projects include Cockburn ARC at Cockburn Central West and the new Cockburn Bowling and Recreation Club in Yangebup.
