THREE HUNDRED lucky feasters will help support St Pat’s community centre at a long table Christmas dinner that’ll take up a whole block.
High Street will be closed between Pakenham and Market streets while guests drink wine, indulge in three sumptuous courses, and enjoy comedians, a charity auction, a live band, and St Pat’s Starlight Hotel choir performing as the sun goes down over the roundhouse.
It’s supported by the National Hotel, the City of Fremantle, and Freo’s BID.
Generosity
St Pat’s deputy CEO Michael Piu said he was thrilled with the generosity of Fremantle businesses, while Karl Bullers of the National Hotel said they were keen to give back to the community and Jenny Marslen of the Fremantle BID said it was a great chance to showcase the West End’s unique style.
“To see Fremantle businesses coming together to support the disadvantaged at Christmas really does exemplify that true Freo spirit,” Mr Piu said.
“This is exactly the kind of event Fremantle should be encouraging to revitalise our city centre — a little bit of glamour with a whole lot of heart,” Ms Marslen said. They’re still seeking sponsors and gift donations for the auction so get in touch with Melanie Watkins at mwatkins@stpats.com.au if you’re in the giving spirit. The long table dinner’s on Thursday November 24 at 6pm and tix are $120 from ticketbooth.com.au
