THE state government has signed an agreement for lease with Sirona Capital for 17,200 sqm of office space at Kings Square in Fremantle.
More than 1500 staff from the housing authority and departments of corrective services and transport will relocate to the new offices in the second quarter of 2020.
The state government has negotiated a 15-year lease, with two extra options.
Construction is expected to start in July next year.
The state government is regarded as a key anchor tenant crucial to the success of the $220 million KS redevelopment, which revolves around the council selling Sirona five properties in return for developing the square.
