The National Hotel (Competition Now Closed)

Win one of 6 x $50 dining vouchers

Standing proudly on the corner of High and Market Streets is the award-winning National Hotel, an iconic part of Fremantle’s rich history. The building began life as a shop in 1868, before becoming a branch of the National Bank in the 1870s and how the hotel derived its name. Fast forward to 2017 and the National is a magnificent fully restored four-storey heritage establishment that is the perfect place for any occasion.

The ground floor is a traditional style pub, with a 60-seat alfresco facing High Street, and a stunning back-bar display replete with an extensive selection of premium spirits, cocktails, wines and tap beers. Check out the detailed ornate ceilings, the beautifully restored leadlight windows and the bar counter made from recycled railway sleepers. On the first floor there is a huge wrap around verandah split into a relaxed drinking and snacking section and a more formal restaurant setting. The main bar is split into a restaurant and a bar area with restored fireplaces and a 3m screen to catch up on all your favourite sporting action.

Undoubtedly one of the best places south of the river to hold a function, the National caters for everything from small groups to a 250 person gathering. It’s the ideal venue for wedding receptions, office sundowners, birthday parties anything else you might have planned! Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
