Shock BID resignation

FREMANTLE business improvement district CEO Tim Milsom has quit just three months into the job.

BID chairman Karl Bullers said the board was taken by surprise when Mr Milsom tendered his resignation, saying he’d cited personal reasons.

“It’s disappointing because he was such a dynamo and he’d only been in the role three months,” Mr Bullers told the Herald.

During his brief tenure, Mr Milsom negotiated a truce between the BID, the council and the Chamber of Commerce, helping to secure council funding for the next three years.

“The BID will go on; I guess we’re back where we were three months ago,” Mr Bullers said.

“We’re having a board meeting next week to decide what direction we go from here.”

Mr Milsom wasn’t answering his phone when the Herald called.
