Swim school sex charges

THE co-owner of a swimming school in Bibra Lake has been charged with multiple child sex offences by Fremantle detectives.

Anthony Dvorak, who ran A Plus Swim School in Barrington Street with his wife Annette, appeared in the Fremantle magistrates court last Wednesday over offences alleged to have been committed between 2015 and 2017.

Police claimed Mr Dvorak sexually assaulted a girl who was 14 years old at the time of the first offence and a student at A Plus.

Mr Dvorak was charged with:

• Six counts of indecent dealing of a child over the age of 13 and under 16 years whilst under supervision;

• Four counts of using an electronic device to procure a child to engage in sexual activity; and,

• One count of procuring a child to engage in sexual behaviour.

Classes were cancelled following Mr Dvorak’s arrest, the school’s phone disconnected and its Facebook account deleted.

Mr Dvorak was also previously rear commodore of Perth Dinghy Sailing Club.
