Internal investigators and a forensics team interviewed neighbours and scoured Hobbs Park in Hamilton Hill on Wednesday to get to the bottom of an incident that saw three police officers stood down from active duty last week.

The trio were suspended after a magistrate accused them of misleading his court over the rough arrest of a couple in the park late last year, saying eyewitness videos disproved their claim the woman had attempted to take an officer’s gun in the incident and the pair had initiated the assault.
