THE South Fremantle football club has almost concluded a sweet license deal over Fremantle oval with the local council.
Freo’s finance, policy, operations and legislation committee signed off a 20-year license agreement this week that will see the club receive about $100,000 each year from car parking revenue generated when the oval’s revamped.
The club will also get a financial contribution from the city of $50,000 per year, which will rise with inflation.
The council will also cover oval maintenance costs, which are expected to be between $120,000 and $160,000 a year.
The license needs to be ratified by full council next week before CEO’s of each organisation can officially sign off.
