Hello, Sailor! All welcome at Freo’s Winter Ball

Dust off those glass slippers, and let it go after lockdown

One of Fremantle’s most exclusive clubs, formed in 1885, and integral to the spectacular America’s Cup series that put us on the world map in the 1980s, is inviting you to the biggest party in town next Saturday week (July 31).

The Fremantle Sailing Club’s first dances were held in 1924, and in the roaring 40s in Freo, they were the highlight of social calendars.

The 2021 Winter Ball will go all out with a three-course meal, an 8-piece band, a chill out area and an igloo (I’ve always wanted to hang out in an igloo – haven’t you?), so expect to enter into a fairy tale!

On that note, in the words of the famous Elsa, you can “let it go” after lockdown, and take Cinderella’s advice that this event will be “completely… completely wonderful!”

Open to Club Members, and the public, the Winter Ball has limited spaces, so book soon.

Dust off your glad rags, and take inspo from the aforementioned dreamy characters, and book your ticket, or a seat at a table, as this is one social event not to be missed!

The event of the year is sponsored by Avosh! Vodka, proudly supported by Stage and Studio Productions, and will be held in the Club’s esteemed Wardroom.
