Fabby Fraser

FRASER ROAD has to be one of the top addresses in Applecross.

It’s situated directly above the foreshore with stunning views of the Swan River.

I’ve often cycled along the boardwalk to Point Dundas and looked up in awe at the towering mansions on Fraser Road, wondering if one day I’ll win the lottery and be able to buy one.

Another pleasing aspect is that no house is the same in this area, with each having its own identity and architectural flourishes.

This six bedroom four bathroom abode is no exception with a white, two-storey facade that sits somewhere in between a Marble Arch property in London and a coastal villa.

Let’s take a minute to enjoy the opulent winding staircase in the entrance hallway; a grand gesture with wrought iron swirls in the bannisters and balustrade.

The grand crystal chandelier is another glamorous touch that is sure to impress guests as they walk through the front door.

But this isn’t just a great looking property, it’s versatile as well and could accommodate a large multi-generational family with plenty of room left for guests coming to stay.

All six bedrooms are king size – there’s a self-contained living area with bedroom and bathroom in the basement, two guest bedrooms on the first floor and the remaining three on the top.

The master suite on the top floor is a real stunner with its own retreat, walk-in robes and giant ensuite.

The balcony is ginormous with masses of room for a dining and lounge setting. You’d never tire of those river views and it is the perfect spot for sunset drinks and nibbles with family and friends.

Inside there’s a lovely sitting/games room with great views and plenty of natural light, courtesy of the French doors and many windows.

The main open plan living/dining/kitchen area on the first floor is a relaxing, cosy spot with the use of soft fabrics and carpet making it feel very homely.

The kitchen is huge with absolutely masses of storage space and lovely granite benchtops.

The new owners may want to open this area up with less heavy furnishings and drapes, but it’s a matter of personal taste.

The open plan flows into the sheltered patio, giving you another option for alfresco dining.

Situated on a massive 816sqm block with 630sqm of living space, this monster property is a stones throw from the river and close to Applecross Village, South of Perth Yacht Club as well tons of great schools and local amenities.

This is an elegant property in a top location.

Home open today (Saturday September 24) 3.15pm-4pm 28A Fraser Road, Applecross EOI welcome (closing date October 9)
