Charming affair

If you had to give this Fremantle home human characteristics – I would says it’s friendly, open and likeable.

There’s an easy-going charm about this three bedroom one bathroom house, which has lots of nice period features including an original fireplace, hallway arch and wooden floorboards.

It’s got that classic exterior with a limestone facade, bullnose veranda, and a cute garden with leafy trees providing privacy and shade.

The hallway continues the classic theme with rooms off to each side.

There’s a lovely period fireplace in the lounge and the dining room is bathed in natural light courtesy of the bay window and glass doors, which provide a vista of the lush, peaceful back garden.

The Chook really likes the garden – it’s got a stylish elevated verandah where you can sit with a coffee and enjoy the surrounding verdure.

Down below is a brick-paved courtyard with potted plants, raised garden beds and lush foliage. It really is a tranquil, shady retreat.

In the corner is a weatherboard tool shed with windows; a cute little number that could easily be upgraded to studio accomodation.

There’s lovely Baltic pine flooring throughout the home and plenty of space in the three bedrooms.

Parking is always a bit of an issue in Fremantle, but thankfully this home has two off-street bays.

Situated on a 384sqm block on Bellevue Terrace – a one-way street with little through traffic – it’s a short walk to all the cafes, restaurants and shops on Wray Avenue, and just a bit further to South Terrace.

Stevens Reserve is just a few streets back and it’s a short bike or bus ride into the Fremantle CBD.

This is a lovely Fremantle character home with plenty of charm and personality.
