Creative Kids Art Club – Term 3 Program

Creative Kids Art Club are having fun preparing for their Term 3 Art Program – running from 24 July for 8 weeks till 17 September. Classes are for Creative Kids (5-8yrs) and Art Club students (9-14yrs). Classes will be held at our studio in Kishorn Rd Mount PLeasant and run on Tuesday afternoons. The art program will include 3 different projects for kids to have fun creating. Creative Kids will be inspired by the works of international artist, Antoni Gaudi by creating a beautiful multi-coloured mosaic collage of a Salamander. They will also be introduced to the works of Japanese contemporary artist, Yayoi Kusuma, creating a vibrant mixed media artwork of faces.

Students will take part in a textiles project where they will sew their own adorable Teddy Bear, complete with button eyes and a colourful ribbon! Art Club will study French painter, Boutent De Monvel and create a perspective landscape painting inspired by his work. We will begin the term with a sparkly scratch art polar bear drawing, as well as a stunning chalk pastel turkey drawing. Creative Kids Art Club are excited to offer these classes for all students wanting to try out a range of different drawing techniques using pencil, oil pastel, markers, chalk pastels and watercolour or acrylic paints. Students are actively encouraged to develop their own ideas, giving them the freedom to make their own creations whilst having plenty of fun in the process.
