MELVILLE’S favourite summer soundtrack is back, with Bluegrass Parkway kicking off the fifth annual Melville Summer Music series on Saturday, November 8 at the riverside lawns of Atwell House and Gallery with an Americana-style Bluegrass Bash.

They’ll be joined by Grammy-winning mandolinist Mike Compton and Laura Boosinger from the US. The free, family-friendly concert opens a season of 10 outdoor shows across Melville’s parks — a celebration of community, connection and creativity that’s become a local summer ritual. Parkway banjo player Mick O’Neill says there’s nothing like playing under the gum trees with families dancing on the grass.
