A FREO Fringe show is inviting audiences to lie down, stretch and even fall asleep as part of an unusual performance blending opera, breathwork and live music.
Local trio Resonance will stage the immersive show at the Terrace Greenhouse Gallery across two weekends, offering what they describe as a calmer alternative to the usual festival frenzy.

“Fringe is usually high energy and high adrenaline. We wanted to create something that does the opposite,” co-creator Jess Clancy said. “Resonance is the only Fringe show you’re allowed to fall asleep in. In fact, it’s encouraged.”
Rather than a traditional seated concert, the WAAPA graduates invite audiences to move and breathe while sound fills the space.
“Breath and sound are two of the most powerful tools we have for regulating the nervous system,” facilitator Tiana Catalano said. “When you combine them in a live setting, it’s pretty amazing.”
The show is part of this year’s Fringe program and is on this weekend, so get in quick for tickets: https://fringeworld.com.au/whats-on/resonance-fw2026
