Aid film screening

PERTH Doctors Medical Aid for Palestine are screening the Oscar nominated film All That’s Left of You on Sunday November 1, 6.15pm at the Windsor Cinema, Nedlands.

Directed by Cherien Dabis and produced by Mark Ruffalo and Javiar Bardem, this sweeping historical epic of exile and memory follows a Palestinian family’s story of hope and courage through the course of almost 80 years of relentless struggle.

Covering a period from the Nakba of 1948 right up until the present day, it explores how this struggle conditions the relationships between the family members.

A tale of loss, exile, forgiveness and the unbreakable ties to home. All That’s left of You was Jordan’s entry for the 2026 Oscars.

All proceeds from the film night will  go towards vital medical and humanitarian aid for those whose lives have been devastated by war.

Perth Doctors-MAP, a group of over 130 senior Perth doctors, have been fundraising and advocating for almost three years.

The $900,000 raised so far has helped build two schools and allowed over 700 children to return to learning.

It has also helped to provide meals, shelter, and clean drinking water to thousands of families.

They have provided the funds needed for otherwise unaffordable medical surgeries and treatments, as well as for maternity packs for some of the almost 60,000 pregnant Palestinian women who receive little or no antenatal or birth care.

They also support a number of Palestinian medical students through scholarships and grants.
