The ocean is putting on a show on Saturday 21 November, at Scott Reef Rising – a festival of music, art and ocean wonder.

From nearly 2,000 kilometres away, an extraordinary world rises from the ocean and comes to life in the heart of Perth. The otherworldly wonder of Scott Reef leaves the wild waters of Australia’s northwest for one spectacular night in the city. Giant illuminated sea creatures drift overhead.

Great Australian bands and performers fill the night with music. Families create, explore and gather beneath a glowing underwater world, with hands-on activities
for kids, delicious food and unexpected discoveries around every corner
.

Joining the lineup are multi-award-winning Electric Fields, who create a striking and haunting merging of living traditional culture with electronic music, bringing breathtaking beauty and power to the stage.

Nicholas Allbrook – one of Western Australia’s most versatile and prolific musical voices; a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer whose career has spanned two decades.

Anna Schneider – a hyper talented emerging flutter folk artist from Walyalup. Anna is a new voice in Australian alt-folk; lovers of Julia Jacklin, Faye Webster and Dolly Parton – this is for you.

DJ Rok Riley – a cornerstone of the Boorloo scene for nearly three decades, Riley has been at the heart of dance music and beyond across so-called Australia.

Scott Reef Rising will also feature a site-specific immersive performance, Emergent Sea, by theatre company Curious Legends. Participants are invited to come and be a sea creature for the night, as giant illuminated whales drift overhead, and around and through crowds.

This is Scott Reef Rising: a spectacular celebration of our ocean.

Scott Reef Rising is taking place from 4-9pm on November 21 at Moort-ak Waadiny / Wellington Square.
