LUSH jungle and tall palm trees surround a glistening rock pool—the ultimate Bali dream is wrapped up in a package called paradise at 35B Matheson Road, Applecross. And you can trust the cocktails.
The agent reckons as soon as you walk in you’ll be impressed but I was impressed from the moment I rocked up to the beautiful Toodyay stone-clad front, accessed down a tree-lined drive.

And for days when the mercury is too high to venture outdoors check out the theatre room—with sweeping floor-ceiling red-velvet curtains you’d swear you were in a real theatre. Whack on South Pacific and turn Bali-Hai to full volume.
