Coolbellup may not be on bean geeks’ radar when it comes to coffee, but locals are hoping to remedy that for at least one day with a pop-up cafe planned for election day.

Cooby Now is setting up a java jalopy at the Coolbellup Community School in Waverley Road on September 7. Chairs and tables will go up next to the coffee van from 6am to noon so voters can soak up the cafe experience while pondering their choice for government.

“This election day get down to Coolbellup Community School sometime in the morning to cast your vote—Vote 1 for good coffee and a happening community,” Cooby Now co-founder Katie Attwell says. Money raised will go towards new equipment for the school.
