FOCUS ON APPLECROSS VILLAGE

Cioccolato Espresso
Cioccolato Espresso has been a neighbourhood favourite at Applecross Village for years, and it’s sure to continue under the new ownership of Russell and Anita: “We have many exciting things to come,” says Anita. “A new talented head chef and baker will soon be joining the team. And we can’t wait for our new Moteef cushions created by Applecross designer Terri Loannou to bring additional warmth and colour to the place.”
Anita is passionate about the cafe’s “warm, community feel” and heaps praise on her “amazing, friendly staff” who know most of their customers by name. Loved locally for delicious breakfasts and lunches, Cioccolato makes its own cakes and slices, sauces, dressings, condiments, granola, Bircher, Spanish beans and more, and you can often catch a coffee and cake special. “Our cafe is nestled in what we consider the perfect spot in our beautiful village,” Anita says. “Come and say hello!”

The Good Grocer
Many first time shoppers at The Good Grocer might wonder whether it’s a supermarket with an extensive range of gourmet products, or if it’s a gourmet deli that also stocks everyday items you find in a supermarket. The simple answer is that The Good Grocer is both.
With over 3,000 grocery lines, the freshest fruit and vegetables, gourmet foods and other delights, fresh pre-prepared meals, an in-house bakery and a huge deli section, The Good Grocer makes shopping an experience you’ll enjoy.
You may think that all this freshness and choice comes at a high price. But you’ll find that the prices are comparable to a regular supermarket. The Good Grocer is a proud sponsor of many charities and local events and as part of its commitment to the health of the community, does not sell cigarettes. To promote a cleaner environment, the store has said no to plastic shopping bags and instead provides recyclable paper bags.
