AN Edith Cowan uni lecturer and researcher is investigating why Fremantle’s vaccination rates are stubbornly low.

Despite a major federally-funded education campaign and the threat of non-vaccinators losing cash benefits, the latest figures from the health department show Fremantle’s still not achieving herd immunity.

Dr Bronwyn Harman is looking for parents of children aged four years or younger to conduct an anonymous online survey so she can gauge their attitudes and beliefs towards vaccination.  Access the survey at http://www.tinyurl.com/vax2016
